עַל אֵֽלֶה אֲנִי בוֹכִיָה
For these do I weep . . .

. . . for the violence that has overtaken Israel and Gaza
. . . for the grief and terror that invade the lives of Israelis and Palestinians
. . . for the decisions that have led to this situation
. . . for the trauma of two peoples that manifests in violence again and again

שַׁאֲלוּ שָׁלוֹם . . . Pray for peace

Peace for all and a speedy return home for all hostages.

welcome  to

Havurat Shalom is a small, pioneering, egalitarian Jewish community founded in 1968. We are a lay-led congregation where people come to pray, celebrate, and grapple with Jewish texts and traditions and work for social justice.
We welcome people of all colors, ethnic backgrounds, genders and sexualities. Our community invites everyone, including singles and families of all configurations, including interfaith families, and people who are exploring Judaism. (We count all those who identify as Jews for a minyan.) Our building has a wheelchair ramp and we strive to be accessible to people with disabilities.
