While donations for the general fund are always welcome and put to good use, there are some specific funds you can designate your contribution for if you want to.
The Reena Kling Memorial fund. Right now the Havurah is using this fund to partially support the Little Free Pantry and to buy diverse books for the Little Free Library. We may choose use these funds for other things in future.
The Trina Birnbaum Memorial Children's Fund. As during the pandemic the Havurah has not been able to offer childcare, we are instead making money from this fund available to parents who need help to hire their own babysitter to allow them to come to services. We may use these funds for other child related things in future.
The Tzedakah Fund. Every year, the Havurah membership chooses a few organizations to donate tzedakah money to. You can the places we've supported in the past few years on the Tikkun Olam and Tzedakah page.
The Little Free Pantry Fund. The Havurah supports a little free pantry that we installed in the front yard. It is much used by people in the neighborhood who are food insecure. Everyone is welcome to drop off unopened, shelf stable foods in the LFP. Or, you can also donate money which we will use to buy groceries for the LFP.
