What's Purim like at Havurat Shalom?
We read the Megillah and in between each chapter, we have hilarious spiel. This year, chapter 7 will be leyned in Yiddish!
Do you want to leyn, even 1 line of Megallah? Contact us asap. Do you want a part in the spiel? There will be opportunities to participate on the spot.
Many people wear costumes, but it's not required. There will be groggers. There will be home made hamentashen.
There will be a pizza and salad dinner, with a $5.00 suggested donation for dinner.

Havurat Shalom follows the tradition of collecting tzedakah at Purim. Half the money we collect will be donated to Yad Chessed, which provides food assistance and other aid to Jewish families in need, and half goes to Havurat Shalom's own tzedakah fund.
