SCHEDULE - ROSH HASHANAH and YOM KIPPUR

We hope you'll join us

The High Holidays at Havurat Shalom are a wonderful, intense, prayerful experience. They are also free! Everyone is welcome!

This year’s Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will be both in person, outside and on Zoom (except where noted in schedule). In person seating for Yom Kippur is completely full. Masks are required outside (except in the masks optional tent) and we'll provide them to anyone who needs one.

(Those in the masks optional tent are still asked to wear a mask when walking around the backyard, or if you have to go into the building for any reason.)

to attend by zoom

Please email info@thehav.org to get the Zoom link if you'd like attend Zoom services. The deadline to get the Zoom link for Yom Kippur is Tuesday October 4 at 4:00 pm. After that deadline, the office will be closed for the holiday.

All the Rosh Hashanah and Yom services - with the exception of the second night of Rosh Hashanah - will be on Zoom.

All Yom Kippur services will also be streamed live on the Havurah's Facebook page.

Free PDFs of the machzor are available. Please email info@thehav.org if you want one, or click on the link below:

CHILDREN

There is a children's High Holiday service on Zoom on Friday September 30 at 6:15 pm on Zoom. This service will be ASL interpreted. Email info@thehav.org to get the Zoom link.

We regret that due to the pandemic, the Havurah is not providing any childcare this holiday season. We are also asking that unvaccinated children (and adults) do not come into the tents. If a parent would like their unvaccinated child to attend some of the service, they may stand or sit with them outside the tent area and will be assuming any health risk themselves. The childcare rooms in the building are closed. We further regret that we temporarily have no playset in the backyard.

ACCESSIBILITY

Havurat Shalom is committed to making all of our programming accessible to people with disabilities. If you have specific requests for the High Holidays for either in person or on Zoom, please contact us at info@thehav.org or 617-623-3376 (voice).

Zoom services will be captioned in two ways. You can choose to have the captions stream in the Zoom box, or you can choose to have the captions stream in a separate box (Streamtext) where you can adjust the
appearance of the font.
